Husband and wife had previously done a renovation on their primary suite, and while the bathroom came out perfect, there were some layout issues with their bedroom and closets that left them underwhelmed.
The Chirigos Designs team came in and listened to their needs and desires and designed a brand new layout. Charlie & Company architects guided us with the needed exterior extension of the bedroom, and together we created a luxury primary suite beyond their dream.
As you enter the suite, a vestibule leads to a small hallway separating the closets, bathroom, and bedroom. Once in the space, you feel as if you entered into another wing, completely separate from the hustle and bustle of the home.
Custom cabinetry in the bedroom and closets maximized their storage space and allows everything to be tucked away out of sight for the serenity requested. A desk was placed in a bump out area of the bedroom and looks out on the expansive and private yard.
One of the areas where we like to detail is lighting as it makes the space not only for function but for overall ambiance, enhancing the design. The wife likes to read in bed, yes, real books. So we had small 4” recessed lights on separate switches installed right over the bed, as bedside sconces are often not enough.
Walls are wrapped in sweet Schumacher wallpaper in a periwinkle, aubergine and neutral tones. Custom drapery was one more layer of texture to bring coziness to the expansive room.
